DR. JAMES HAYGOOD
Dr. James Haygood, Director of Choral Activities at the University of
Southwestern Louisiana, holds degrees form Florida State University, Indiana
State University, and Ball State University. He has sung professionally
in summer stock productions, was soloist and Assistant Director with the
Seventh Army Chorus, and taught elementary through university levels.
He has conducted throughout the southeastern U.S., Europe and recently
in New York City's Carnegie Hall. He is Chorus Master for the Acadiana
Symphony Orchestra and Founder and Conductor for the semi-professional
chorus, The Vocal Arts Ensemble of Lafayette.
Dr. Haygood frequently guest conducts workshops and festivals for choral
directors and students.
