Catherine Roche-Wallace

Catherine Roche-Wallace is Assistant Professor of Horn and Theory in the
School of Music at UL Lafayette. She holds the Bachelor's and Master's
degrees in Music from Youngstown State University where she studied with
William B. Slocum, and the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from The University
of Memphis, where she studied with Richard Dolph.
Dr. Roche-Wallace is currently second horn in the Acadiana Symphony Orchestra,
and performs with the faculty groups Louisiana Brass Quintet and the ULL
Chamber Players. The Chamber Players were recently part of the Worldwide
Concurrent Premiere of Yehudi Wyner's HORNTRIO. She has performed with
the Memphis Symphony Orchestra, Opera Memphis, Tennessee Summer Symphony,
Aspen Festival Orchestra, and the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra.
Dr. Roche-Wallace is an Educational Specialist for United Musical Instruments,
Inc. She serves as Membership Development and Recruitment Coordinator
for the International Horn Society. Dr. Roche-Wallace is married to Mark
Wallace, cello instructor and member of the Memphis Symphony and Chamber
Symphony of the South. They have a son, Matthew, who is 7.
