VIAR 4th Annual T-Shirt Sale

The Department of Visual Arts announces the 4th Annual Printmaking T-Shirt Sale on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 - 9:00am to 5pm  through Thursday, October 13, 2016 9:00am- 5:00pm.

They're back!!! - the Department of Visual Arts Printmaking Student Group (PRESS) and Marais Press will hold "The 4th Annual Department of Visual Arts T-Shirt "Sale-A-Bration"!! The sale will be located in the lobby of Fletcher Hall and will feature "fresh off the press" t-shirts produced by the Department of Visual Arts printmaking students along with live t-shirt printing demonstrations. The public is invited to come out and watch or buy a fantastic hipster t-shirt for $10.00 or have a unique hip graphic printed on their own shirt for $5.00! All sales help support the Department of Visual Arts student printmaking club P.R.E.S.S. helping students to attended professional conferences.

The Printmaking Research Educational Student Society (PRESS) at UL Lafayette encourages students to engage in the professional printmaking community and assisting in the understanding of postgraduate studies and the possibilities in both fine art and commercial careers in printmaking. PRESS achieves this through the development, production, and presentation of undergraduate printmaking research; the encouragement of professional development by attending the Southern Graphics Council International (SGCI) Printmaking Conference; and fostering student growth by sponsoring and collaborating with the Department of Visual arts Marais Press visiting artist program.

The Department of Visual Arts offers concentrations in art education, ceramics, computer art and animation, graphic design, metalwork and jewelry, new media and digital art, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpting. Our programs include a core curriculum in art historyand art foundations. Students can also minor in art history and studio art.
