Department of Visual Arts students Madeline Bennett (Ceramics), Leah Boudreaux  (New Media-faculty mentor Associate Professor Jamie Baldridge), Raine Curole (Printmaking – faculty mentor Professor Brian Kelly), Samantha Ulvee (Photography – faculty mentor Assistant Professor Stephaine Paine), Grant Wooley (Animation – faculty mentor – Associate Professor Yeon Choi) were included in the sixth Annual University of Louisiana System Academic Summit was held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 and Friday, March 31, 2017, on the campus of Southeastern Louisiana University.

This celebration of academic excellence at UL System Universities encompasses the system-wide faculty service-learning conference and the following student presentations: visual art exhibit, artistic performances, undergraduate research poster presentations and undergraduate research oral presentations.
