American College Dance Association South Region is scheduled for April 3-8 at NSU in Natchitoches. During spring break 21 dance majors will attend the conference. Two pieces of choreography are going to be presented for adjudication: Guest Artist Brie Castro’s contemporary ballet hUmaNITY and Layne Strode’s modern dance From End to End. Marie Broussard is presenting a Vaganova-based ballet class at the conference. Students will be afforded the opportunity to take class with and network with approximately 400 other dance majors from the South. They will also be afforded and opportunity to audition for summer intensives during this much anticipated conference.
