Interior Design faculty Jean Edwards received the ‘Presidential Merit’ award for her work on the IDEC Juried Design Competition at the IDEC International Conference in San Diego, CA, on March 25 – 30, 2003.

Interior Design faculty Brian Powell and Charlotte were recognized at the IDEC (Interior Design Educators Council) Southwest Regional Conference in Tulsa, OK on October 30- November 1. Charlotte’s poster “Creativity and the Integration of FIDER Standards” was awarded the Best Poster Presentation. Brian was awarded the Best Paper Presentation for “Making It Real: Chair Design as part of an Interior Design Education.”

Interior Design faculty Jean Edwards and Brian Powell both had papers accepted for presentation at the IDEC International Conference in Pittsburg, PA, on March 23-28, 2004. Brian’s paper is about chair design and construction as part of a human factors course. Jean’s is presenting a panel discussion on course content and format for an introductory course on interior design for architecture and industrial design students.
