Concert 2 - Louisiana Brass Quintet
Thursday, November 21, 7:30 pm, Angelle Concert
Hall
The LBQ, music faculty at the University of Louisiana, Lafayette
includes Paul Morton and John Cresci, trumpets, Catherine
Roche-Wallace, horn, Cason Duke, trombone, and Scott Landry, tuba. Since
its inception over 20 years ago, the LBQ has brought its eclectic style
of brass playing to audiences throughout Louisiana. In addition to their
formal
recitals, the LBQ acts as "brass ambassadors" for the UL School
of Music,
presenting programs in high schools across the state.
Concert 3 - Woodwind Chamber Music
Monday, January 26 7:30 pm, Angelle Concert Hall
Woodwind faculty members Andrea Loewy, flute, Marcus Jordan, clarinet,
and Catherine Roche-Wallace, horn, plus special guests from Baton Rouge
will be featured in a program of works by Fauré, Milhaud, Mendelssohn,
and Beethoven.

4 - The UL Chamber Players
Sunday, March 31, 3:00 pm, Angelle Concert Hall
Mike Blaney, violin, Susanna Garcia, piano, Catherine Roche-Wallace,
horn, and Mark Wallace, cello, founded The Chamber Players in 1997.
The group enjoys performing works ranging from baroque trio sonatas
to
their recent world premiere of Wyner's HORNTRIO. The Chamber Players
are often augmented by other faculty members and musicians from the
Acadiana
area. The Daily Advertiser hails The Chamber Players as a"dynamic
quartet
. . . skilled and unpretentious."
