School of Music and Performing Arts Student Dominique George Awarded Internship to Nations Prestigious American Dance Festival

Dominique George of Lafayette, Louisiana is a sophomore Performing Arts major with a concentration in dance.

Dominique has received Production Internship to attend the American Dance Festival (ADF) at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. ADF is a six-week festival that was established in 1934 and has been heralded as “One of the nation’s most important institutions” by the New York Times. AFD’s sustained record of creative achievement is indivisible from the history of modern dance.

As a Production Intern, Dominique will be working with world-renowned modern dance companies, choreographers, and their technical crews.

Additionally, Dominique will receive complimentary tickets to each program in the ADF season, which features over 35 performances by dance companies from around the world, attend dance classes through the ADF Six Week School, which includes more than 40 classes a day, and receive a stipend.
