Department of Visual Arts Professor Brian Kelly has Prints and Research included in International and National Exhibitions, International Print Portfolio, and Receives Grant.

During the months of October and November Professor Brian Kelly had his recent lithographic print “Drain the Swamp: The Quest to Kill Obama's Legacy" included in the following international exhibitions; 2017 Full Court Press International Printmaking Exhibition at Texas A&M University Corpus Christie and in the 2017 International Louisiana Printmaking Exhibition located on the campus of Louisiana Tech University. Professor Kelly also received an “Honorable Mention” for his lithographic print “Drain the Swamp: The Quest to Kill Obama's Legacy" that was included in the 2017 International Louisiana Printmaking Exhibition located on the campus of Louisiana Tech University. Ben Hickey, Curator of Collections and Exhibitions at the Masur Museum of Art, served as the exhibition curator and selected the exhibition awards. Professor Kelly also had his lithographic print “Drain the Swamp: Crouch Graber” exhibited in national exhibitions at Westminster College, the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, and at Wichita State University. Professor Kelly has also been invited to participate in the “X-Files”, a printmaking portfolio curated by artist, printmaker, and Tamarind Printer Eric Euler currently working in North Bay, Ontario. 

Finally, Professor Brian Kelly received $800 grant from the Friend of the Humanities in November. The funds provided from the grant will be used to add additional silkscreen printmaking equipment to the printmaking studio allowing students greater access to the studio for the production of research.
