Interior Design Program receives positive CIDA review.

Top Stories

The Interior Design Program just underwent an accreditation visit by reviewers for the Council of Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA). The three reviewers, Lesley Sager from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, Holly Cline from Radford University in Virginia, and Rebecca Hatcher, a design practitioner from Birmingham, Alabama, were on campus in Fletcher Hall for three intensive days of examining student work from all levels of the curriculum. Their job was to access whether or not the work met 16 Professional Standards as articulated by CIDA. These standards have recently been updated, and we were one of the early programs to be evaluated under these standards. Overall, the review was very positive, but the visitors’ report will undergo review and possible revision before the outcome is announced in April. Stay tuned.
