Allison Leigh (Assistant Professor of Art History, Department of Visual Arts) has signed a contract to publish her first book with Bloomsbury Academic. Titled 'Masculinity and Modernity in 19th-Century Russian Painting,' the book traces how the changes wrought by modernity impacted notions of what constituted masculinity in art making over the course of the nineteenth century. It will be published by Bloomsbury in 2019. Dr. Leigh was also asked to contribute a co-authored essay to the 'Routledge Companion to Digital Humanities and Art History.' This article, currently titled “Digital Resources and Social Media in the Art History Classroom,” will appear in the forthcoming volume (under contract with Routledge) in 2019.
