THE OLD MAID AND THE THIEF BY GIAN CARLO MENOTTI AND GALLANTRY BY DOUGLAS MOORE

A double bill performance directed by Shawn Roy and performed by the UL Lafayette Opera Theatre program. "The Old Maid and the Thiel" is a radio opera in one act by Italian-American composer Gian Carlo Menotti. "Gallantry" is a one act opera by composer Douglas Moore. The work is a parody of soap opera, complete with sung commercial interruptions.
