'Self-Portraits in History' opens in the Dean's Gallery

“Self Portraits in History," an exciting new exhibit, has opened in Fletcher Hall.

Former and current photography students of Lynda Frese showcase their unique work in the Dean’s Gallery, Fletcher Hall 202, until the end of October.

Students currently enrolled in Intermediate and Advanced Photography made themselves a part of history by digitally editing themselves into classic photos from the last several decades.  Many of the photos are seamlessly edited, and it is often difficult to tell who in the picture is from 2015 and who is from 1915.

Also featured in the exhibit is “Self-Portraits in a Photo Booth,” a collection of photo booth images by Frese’s Beginning Photography students from the late 1980s and early 1990s. Frese has always wanted to do something with these photos, and she found this exhibit to be an appropriate opportunity to showcase them.
