Department of Visual Arts Students Participate in the 2016 UL System Academic Summit at Nicholls State University

Department of Visual Arts students Hannah Walters, Susan Sinitiere, Emily Federickson, Shelby Wanzer, and Hailey Hutchinson were included in the fifth Annual University of Louisiana System Academic Summit  held on Thursday, April 14 and Friday, April 15, 2016, on the campus of Nicholls State University.the jour for the exhibit recognized 3 students with awards with the Department of Visual Arts receiving both the 1st and 3rd place awards. Receiving the 1st place award was Hailey Hutchinson (faculty mentor: Brian Kelly) and receiving 3rd place was Emily Frederickson (faculty mentors: Jeff lush and Kevin Hagen).

This celebration of academic excellence at UL System Universities encompasses the system-wide faculty service-learning conference and the following student presentations: visual art exhibit, artistic performances, undergraduate research poster presentations and undergraduate research oral presentations.
