Michael Eble Shows New Work at Lounge Gallery

The Lounge Gallery presents a series of new paintings and works on paper by Michael Eble, Curator of Exhibitions and Events for the College of the Arts. The exhibition will run through the months of November and December and can be viewed during monthly downtown Lafayette Artwalks. Eble earned his BFA from University of Louisiana, Lafayette and his MFA from the University of Mississippi. 

A brief excerpt from Eble’s artist statement: “The element of water and its relationship to humans and the environment has been a consistent theme through Michael Eble’s creative research. His paintings reflect the complex dialogue between humans and natural bodies of water. The ephemeral quality of these fragile environments and their relationship to all living things inspire him. Residing somewhere between realism and abstraction, his paintings become visual diaries upon which he records responses to coastal environments.
