UL Lafayette Opera Theater Fall Production

For their fall 2017 production, The UL Lafayette Opera Theatre, under the direction of Shawn Roy, presented a revue type show of opening numbers from Broadway musicals, entitled, Another Opening, Another Show! A cast of 15 students and a small band of piano and percussion danced and sang their way through various styles of Broadway tunes, mostly group numbers, and four solos. Featured shows were, Kiss me Kate, Pippin, Fiddler on the Roof, Follies, Company, Sunday in the Park with George, Titanic, Something Rotten, The Light in the Piazza, The Sound of Music, Oklahoma, Barnum, Cabaret, Chicago and The Fantasticks. The show was performed at Burke-Hawthorne theatre to nearly sold-out crowds.
