Theatre Program Presents Arcadia

The Theatre program of the School of Music and Performing Arts presented Tom Stoppard's masterpiece Arcadia as the Fall mainstage Theatre production October 18-22nd, 2017.

Moving fluidly between the early days of the 19th century and the present day, Stoppard's witty comedy of ideas explores time, math, physics, and the unquantifiable forces of love and lust. The UL production featured a cast of 12 actors, all of them Performing Arts majors, ranging from first year students up through alumni. Sets were designed by UL alumna Celicia Ducote, costumes by Instructor Kendra Weeks, sound by PFAR student Erica Feagin, and lights by guest artist Kevin Allinder. The production was stage managed by PFAR student Kady Laudun, and directed by Associate Professor of Theatre Sara Birk. A production of this complexity provided many significant hands-on experiences for Theatre students in all areas of interest.
