Department of Visual Arts Professor Brian Kelly has solo exhibition, was a visiting artist at Iowa State University, and receives UL Undergraduate Research Mini-Grant

In the month of February, Professor Kelly had a Solo exhibition of his lithographs and silkscreens at Iowa State University. Also, from February 23rd-29, Professor Kelly was a was a visiting artist at Iowa State University. In addition to his solo exhibition, Professor Kelly conducted printmaking workshops, produced a 7 color lithographic edition, conducted graduate student critiques, and presented a public lecture about his personal research.

Finally, Professor Kelly was awarded a UL Undergraduate Research Mini-Grant to support undergraduate research through professional collaborative printing projects. This grant will be used to support Professor Kelly and his printmaking students with collaborative printmaking projects through the summer and fall 2020 semesters. These collaborations will be with Michael Ray Charles (University of Houston), Jessica Robles (college of the Sequoias), Vitus Shell (Monroe, Louisiana), Phillip Sage (New Orleans, Louisiana), Rob Bechet (Xavier University, New Orleans), Robert Nelson (Houston, Texas), and a developing project involving 10 Louisiana Artists.
