Helios, by Stephanie PaineAssistant Professor of Photography Stephanie Paine, rounded out the 2020 exhibition year with work in "Louisiana Contemporary" at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art from September 5, 2020 – February 7, 2021. René Morales, Director of Curatorial Affairs and Chief Curator at Pérez Art Museum Miami juried this year’s exhibition. At the start of 2021, Stephanie’s work was shown in the "Waterloo Photography Invitational" at Photocentric Gallery in Cleveland, Ohio. During the month of March, four photographs from her series Diver were shown in the curated invitational, "Star Children," at the Bradbury Art Museum at Arkansas State University. Another three images from this series were selected out of 875 entries for the 2021 Valdosta National, held online this year at the Dedo Maranville Fine Arts Gallery website.

In April, she will be participating in the 23rd Annual Rio Brazos Juried Art Exhibition at the Dora Lee Langdon Center in Granbury, Texas, and at the New Orleans Photo Alliance, in Sunshine Prints, a national exhibition of prints using direct sunlight in the exposure process. Additionally, she has two upcoming exhibitions in Rhode Island: in May, she will show in "Turmoil to Transformation," a group exhibition at the Hera Educational Foundation and Gallery. For over thirty years, the Hera Foundation has been dedicated to inspiring social change through feminist discourse and gender equity. In the summer, an image from her recently completed series Helios will be on display in "Photography Without a Lens: An Exhibition to Explore Alternate Processes," at the Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts. This series has been recently selected for Issue 5 of Full Bleed, a journal of art and design published annually by the Maryland Institute College of Art.
