Congratulations to Research Award Winners 

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette Office of Research recognized Faculty at the Research Recognition Reception. The recognition ceremony was held at the LITE center on November 15th. The recipients for these important recognitions from the College of the Arts are: 

Jeffrey L. George, Associate Professor of Classic and Jazz Guitar, was awarded the Research Excellence Award. This award recognizes those who have demonstrated exceptional scholarship in their field 

Hector LaSala, Professor of Architecture, was awarded the Outstanding Undergraduate Research Mentor Award. This award recognizes those who have demonstrated extraordinary commitment to undergraduate students and their advancement as undergraduate researchers 

Christopher Bennett, Assistant Professor of Art History, was awarded the Rising Star Award. This award recognizes a junior faculty member showing great promise in research, scholarship and mentorship
