Department of Visual Arts Printmaking Students Attend and Present their Research at the “Full-Court Press Print Symposium” at Texas A&M University Corpus Christie.

On October 5-7th, Professor Brian Kelly along with his printmaking students attended the 2017 The Full Court Press Print on the campus of Texas A&M University in Corpus Christie. The Full Court Press Print Symposium brought together fine artists, educators and students from across Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Canada - to connect and celebrate the diversity of the print medium, printmaking education, and undergraduate printmaking research. 

Department of Visual Arts printmaking students attended symposium printmaking workshops, lectures, and exhibitions held on both the TAMU-Corpus Christie. Departmental printmaking students also presented their studio research in a symposium printmaking exhibition in downtown Corpus Christie that showcased the current student printmaking work from both UL Lafayette and Texas A&M-Corpus Christie. Department of Visual Arts students also presented their work during an open portfolio session held at the Art Museum of the South Texas located in Corpus Christie. 

The symposium was attended by faculty and students from UL Lafayette, the University of North Texas, the University of Dallas, University of Texas San Antonio, University of Teas El Paso, Texas State University, Texas A&M University Corpus Christie, Baylor University, and Nova Scotia College of Art & Design.
