New York Based Guitarist, Julian Lage, offers advice to School of Music Students

Guitarists in the School of Music had the wonderful opportunity to interact with New York based artist, Julian Lage prior to his inspiring performance at the Acadiana Center for the Arts on Friday, February 23rd. Lage gave an impromptu performance, talked about his experiences as a player, and gave the students a great deal to think about in terms of how he approaches playing on jazz tunes. He also offered practical advice on the process of crafting an improvisation. It was a great class by a fantastic performer!
