Sarah Young, Assistant Professor of Architecture, Wins National Professional Scholarship and AIA LA Associates Award

Sarah Young was awarded one of 10 national 2018 Jason Pettigrew Memorial ARE Scholarship.  The national award "recognizes the significant contributions of emerging professionals at early stages in their careers and helps defray the costs associated with the Architect Registration Examination." This annual scholarship is awarded by the Architects Foundation, the philanthropic partner of the American Institute of Architects.

Young was won the 2018 AIA LA Associates Award.  The AIA Louisiana Associates Award is the highest award given to individual Associate AIA Louisiana members who best exemplify the highest qualities of leadership and have demonstrated an unparalleled commitment to their component or region’s membership, in the community, in professional organizations, and/or in the design and construction industries.  One award is given annually by the Louisiana American Institute of Architects.  Young will formally receive the award at the 2018 AIA Louisiana Design Conference and Expo in New Orleans later in September
