Held in conjunction with the Louisiana High School Literary Rally Art Exhibit, the Department of Visual Arts hosted its first ever ARTStravaganza. This event featured multiple faculty members from the department who were offering hands-on experiences for people of all ages. These artistic experiences invited participants to learn more about subjects such as: book binding, button making, ceramics, letterpress printing, metalwork and jewelry, photography, and printmaking. In addition, all the visitors were invited to explore using a Theremine to produce their own haunting melodic sounds. The event was well received, and the department is considering hosting the event again next year.
