Interdisciplinary Performance "Rounding the Edge" Premieres at Acadiana Center for the Arts

This September, the Acadiana Center for the Arts hosted the premiere of Rounding the Edge, an interdisciplinary performance featuring collaborations from several faculty members of UL Lafayette’s College of the Arts. The performance, part of the "Dance / Splits" show, brought together talent from across artistic disciplines.

The set was designed by Associate Professor of Architecture, Ashlie Boelkins, while choreography was led by Clare Cook, a former Adjunct at the university. Assistant Professor of Dance, Alex McBride, performed in the piece alongside other professional dancers, delivering a dynamic display of movement. Associate Professor Hagit Barkai from the Visual Arts faculty also played a key role, serving as the production's Dramaturg.

The show highlighted the vibrant collaborative spirit within UL Lafayette’s arts community and was well-received by the Acadiana audience.
