UL Lafayette College of the Arts Celebrates its 30th Anniversary with a Special Event on Thursday, November 7, 2024

Please join us to celebrate our 30th anniversary. For three decades, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette's College of the Arts has been dedicated to cultivating exceptional thinkers, makers, performers, and doers driven by a commitment to self-determination, mindfulness, and excellence. To commemorate our legacy, the College will host a 30th Anniversary Celebration on Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Fletcher Hall.

This event promises to be a memorable evening filled with art, music, and reflection on the College's impact over the past three decades. We invite alumni, students, faculty, staff, and members of the community to join in the festivities.

Event Highlights Include:

Arts Colloquium: With Dean Emeritus Gordon Brooks II, distinguished Faculty Emeriti, and Dean Daryl J. Moore as they reflect on the College's journey and future vision. 6:00 - 7:00 PM, Fletcher Hall Auditorium, Room 134

Reception: Join us for hors d'oeuvres and an open bar with non-alcoholic beverages, wine, and beer. 7:00 - 9:00 PM in the Fletcher Hall lobby and courtyard.

2024 Alumni Juried Art Exhibition: A showcase of Alumni works. Fletcher Hall Gallery

Musical Performances: Live performances by students from the School of Music and Performing Arts. Fletcher Hall courtyard

Open Studios: Studios will be open to all guests, alumni can relive their creative experiences, and see the significant changes that the building has gone through in the past 30 years.

• Networking Opportunities: A chance to reconnect with fellow alumni, faculty, and industry professionals, strengthening existing relationships and fostering new collaborations and friendships.

SPARK an opportunity to Give: Give to the College of the Arts 30 for 30 fundraising event and help us raise $30,000 for the SPARK Annual Fund. Your gift will help advance the College’s mission of providing a rigorous education rooted in the conservatory ideal, fostering discipline-specific proficiency through individualized pathways, and empowering our students to thrive academically, professionally, and holistically

Dean Darryl J. Moore expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming event, stating, "This anniversary is not just a celebration of our past achievements but a look forward to our continued commitment to nurturing the arts in all its forms. We are excited to welcome our community to join us in this celebration and to see the incredible work being done by our students and faculty."

The UL Lafayette College of the Arts has been at the forefront of arts education since its inception in 1995. Over the years, it has grown into a vibrant hub of creativity, offering programs in visual arts, music, performing arts, and design. The College has played a pivotal role in shaping the cultural landscape of Lafayette and beyond, with its graduates making significant contributions to the arts worldwide.
